'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League comeback

Kane marks his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in coming back to the Premier League has lessened and he is open to negotiate a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is at the moment midway through the four-year contract he agreed to when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the offseason of 2023.

The veteran forward has scored an outstanding 103 goals in 106 matches for the German club, contributing them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which represented the initial major trophy of his notable career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would like to see Kane return to England, where he requires 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England captain has now suggested that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he earlier was, and would seriously contemplate lengthening his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could definitely see that," he stated.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so goes and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top scorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, securing the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had eluded him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after breaking his trophy barren spell, but now believes it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
