Local Law Enforcement
Approximately fifty cars have been smeared with what appears to be blood from a person in the Germany's city of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.
Cars, exterior walls and postal boxes were marked, in some cases with prohibited symbols, they reported in a release.
Law enforcement state they were contacted during the night on Wednesday night, when a individual noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued liquid.
The fluid had been placed in the pattern of a banned symbol, they reported.
Officers then located numerous other smeared cars and house walls in the surrounding area.
These symbols are prohibited in Germany under laws outlawing the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.
Law enforcement say preliminary tests show the fluid was most likely human bodily fluid.
"There is still no clue as to where it came from; authorities are not yet informed of any harm in connection with the incident," they commented.
Local authorities announced they were attempting "to unravel the case" and have asked to the public for information.
A senior representative said the attack left him speechless and needed to be solved rapidly.
"This event strikes at the very heart of Hanau and reopens the pain of the extremist terrorist attack in 2020," he stated on a platform, mentioning the murder of nine individuals by a assailant targeting people of immigrant origin in 2020.
